Meeting Purposes: 

·         Ensure smooth and effective functioning of St. Mark’s Church to serve God’s purposes

·         Monitor and refine the financial operations of St. Mark’s to ensure God’s mission is fulfilled

·         Build our capacity to lead and work as a team to guide St. Mark’s to fulfill God’s plan

·         8% increase in rent from tenants. LSS confirmed in writing, Glory Lutheran confirmed verbally, waiting on confirmation from Areumdaun.

o    2023 Budget can be modified as needed for any future expenses/projects that arise throughout the year

·         Concert series proving to be profitable.

·         On track with spending which stands at 77% of year to date.

·         4 new voting members will likely join the council in the new year. These will be Krystina Torres, Margarita Alvarez, Dennis Coughlin, Dorthey Geier, Gerd Pfeiffer.

·         Day of the Dead festival went great with many people from the church and the community attending the celebration.

·         Pastor Alicia will finish classes in January. Ordination likely to be held in either Summer or Fall of 2023.

·         Planning underway for the Posada after service on the 18th.

Discussion: 

·          Work on patio fencing will begin in 2023. Council is currently choosing a color for the fencing that is aesthetically pleasing to beautify the campus.

·         By-laws will be changed in 2023. Updated by-laws will be drafted by C. Lewis and S. Barker and taken to a vote in 2023.

·         Annual Reports due January 7th from certain members of the council and other committees. Will provide a short blurb detailing vision for the future.

·         Storm run-off system needs to be addressed to stop water run-off from flooding the grounds and eroding the soil.

·         Golf Cart for mobility

·         Property surrounding church – C. Lewis worked on creating a contract with Jeff Phair concerning the development of the property surrounding St. Mark’s. A fair deal that benefits the church was able to be negotiated by C. Lewis.

·         Proposal to investigate whether the church could benefit from acquiring a golf cart in order to assist members with mobility issues as well as for general utility around the campus. Once fencing is built, it would not require a garage for storage.
