The meeting was called to order: 7pm by David Perez President, Pastor Ron led with a prayer.
The Minutes of the February 19th 2014 were accepted with the amendments.
Motion: By Pastor Ron, to accept Kerri Wood’s resignation. Georgene Nightingale second the motion. Motion passed on accepting Kerri Wood’s resignation all in favor.
Motion: By Paul Ford to accept Treasurer’s report as is. Dawn Andrews second the motion. Motion is passed on accepting Treasurer’s report as is, all in favor.
Motion: For Laura Ortiz to become Treasurer, since Kerri Wood resigned at an effective turn over date of next council meeting April 8th, 2014.
Treasurer’s Report: Budget deficit -13%: Insurance is due; (-$27,360) Insurance Liability Expense.
Pastor’s Report: Council Retreat was March 15th 2014, 9am until 12pm.
Brett is working on a list of personnel. Brett is also working on a complete list of gifts.
Sustainability committee will be incorporated with the Council Meeting. Envelopes are “down” from last year. Ideas will be reviewed at the next council meeting April 8th 2014.
Motion: By Pastor Ron to instruct Brett to go forward and pursue the feasibility on the child care situation. Paul Ford second the motion. Motion passed all in favor.
Georgene Nightingale requested Media dollars to pursue public awareness of St. Mark’s.
Motion: by Paul Ford to have Brett write up the Benevolence MOU on Glory, one hundred dollars per month and increase by an additional $100.00 per month until we reach $1000.00 per month. Start date June 2014 until December 2014 . Georgene second the motion. Motion passed, all in favor.
The meeting was adjourned at 9pm. The next meeting will be on April 8th, 2014.
