The meeting called to order at 7pm by David Perez, Pastor Ron led with a prayer.

The following officers were elected: President David Perez, Vice President Iris Atkins, Secretary Bob Lechner. The personnel Committee will be: Pastor Ron, Iris Atkins, Nan Stufkosky, Georgene Nightingale, David Perez.

After a discussion of the Organizational Chart, it was decided that the Nursery Worker and Sound Technician should be added to work under the Director of Operations.

Georgene Nightingale requested a list of Committees and their responsibilities be available to Council. Pastor Ron agreed to follow up.

Minutes of the January 16, 2014 meeting were approved with the amendment “Because of the budget discussion the study of Nehemiah was tabled.”

David moved to accept changes, Paul second. The motion passed unanimously.

Treasurer Report: Kerri Wood explained the “% column” in the budget.  The Youth budget expenses appear to be high (84%) due to the cost of the ski trip, which is normal.

The budget deficit is $7,375.49 year to date.

The monthly operating expenses of the church are $40,899.

Kerri explained that the Benevolence Allocations were currently at 4.8%. She requested the Council allocate the $20,500 within the Benevolence accounts.

On the signature card, David Perez will replace Sheridan L. Barker, and Iris Atkins will reploace Mark Lechner.

Georgene Nightingale requested a description of Designated Funds. Pastor Ron will follow up.

Pastor’s Report: Pastor Ron will explore a date and time for a Council retreat, possibly March 15th, 9am to 12pm.

The installation of Council and Officers will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2014.

Pastor Ron discussed a designated fund for Spanish Ministry to be used for Alicia’s seminary education. The Hispanic Team at Synod will get a grant to fund Alicia’s salary for $6000 for one year.

Spanish Ministry Report: Alicia explained that the current Spanish Service is from 10:45 to 11:45 and there isn’t enough time to meet and greet members before the Korean Service begins.  It was agreed that the Spanish service will start at 12:15pm.
