The meeting was called to order by President, David Perez at 7:00 PM. Pastor Ron led with a prayer.

Members not present: Paul Ford, Alicia Saenz,  Mike Collins,

Non-members Present:  Laura Ortiz.

Minutes for the July meeting were approved with corrections by all except Georgene.

Treasurer’s Report:   Laura Ortiz gave the treasurer’s report.  Motion made to accept the report, seconded, and passed by all.

Georgene Nightingale asked how much money in the designated accounts. Brett was going to look into them. Any out of date accounts? Can the money be transferred?

Barb Attwood is looking into an “audit trade” with another church.

PastorRon asked Jim Biddle and Chris if they did an internal audit and can we do a “catch-up” audit, and then get an external audit 2010-2013

Pastor Ron discussed false alarms.  Maybe we should put metal bars in music room. Ron wants to charge all  parties $500 for a false alarm. We need to find out what our computer back-up is. We have had 3 break-ins in 5 years and about $2000 a year in false alarms.

Brett Perkin’s Director of Operations report indicated that daycare may not be cost effective. Council voted to drop child day care and pre-school.

David said there may be a water leak which could be expensive. The landscapers are looking into it.

PastorRon discussed MOU asked council members to take home the MOU proposals. He wants to get the MOU guidelines on two or three back-to-back pages.

Iris discussed 2014 Employee and 1099 job description.

David will give “Presidents Minute” at next Sundays church service.
