Boy Scout Eagle Projects: Noah gave an update on his eagle project to build a memorial garden in front of the sanctuary. He said the cost would be $2,500, The cost of bricks is $1,000, but RCP may donate some of the bricks. An 18 inch retaining wall is required. He will make an announcement to the congregation to ask for donations. (more…)

Solar presentation: Tom Brosche, representing Zing Solar, gave the Council information regarding the use of solar panels on St Marks property. Showing the Council the charts he produced, Tom says St Marks spends about $13,000 annually for electricity. (more…)

The minutes of the June meeting were read and approved by all.
Financial Report: Laura Ortiz gave the treasurers report. Of note was that last June (2014) we had a deficit of $3,516. This June we were deficit $355. (more…)

The minutes of the May meeting, and the financial report, were approved unanimously.
Pastor’s report: College Lutheran Church is closing. Members are looking for another church home. One of the members is leading a charity, “God’s Closet,” which hands out donated clothing to the needy. Pastor Ron stated this would fit in with Helping Hand. (more…)
