We are members of the ECLA the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Our church is accessible by wheelchairs and walkers. We offer listening devices to boost sound in the church.
St. Mark’s Church is a Christian Lutheran Church, part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or ELCA., a member of the World Council of Churches and the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States.
We believe that salvation is a gift from God through Jesus Christ. We are saved by the grace of God alone, not through any good works we do, not by following rules or laws, but only by receiving the gift of salvation as a gift. All the good we do and any efforts we make to please God are only a response to the overwhelming love God pours out on us first through Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source and norm for faith and life. We believe in the Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We follow the Creeds and the 10 Commandments. We believe Jesus is truly present in Holy Communion, and that we become members of the body of Christ through Holy Baptism.
The Lutheran Church (ELCA) is a welcoming church. You are welcome here regardless of race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, legal status, or political preference.
