St Mark's Thursday Quilters
Quilts Around The World

A LWR quilt is special!
It brings warmth on a cold night,
shelter from the sun on a hot day.
It becomes a bed, a room divider,
 a backpack to carry belongings,
and, at times, even a home.

Thursday Quilter Pictures

We meet every Thursday at 9 to 11:30 A.M.

The quilt room is located on I Street.  You are welcome to join or visit us on any Thursday.  Many tasks may be done at home.  Donations are always welcomed.  Each October the quilters ship approximately 100 quilts to LWR, plus any kits donated by the congregation.

For more information about school, health, sewing and layette kits, refer to the LWR web site above.

Other missionary projects of the Thursday Quilters include: Collecting and distributing of used postage stamps, used eye glasses, hearing aids, cell phones, soap and shampoo samples, etc.  We also collect Campbell soup UPC/Bar Codes and "box tops for education" and hand made baby booties which are donated to Scripps Mercy Chula Vista..
